    Ferrol on a sunday

Just to clarify - are you arriving in Ferrol on Sunday then leaving Monday for Neda? If so, I would buy anything you need on Saturday but the route from Ferrol to Neda is flat and easy. I'm guessing at the most all you need is 1 or 2 liters of water and some trail mix or light snack. I would...

    I'll give a report when I return.

Transport from A Coruna (airport) to Ferrol

I looked at the time of my arrival at LCG (11:15 - assuming there’s no deviation whatsoever) and I miss the train leaving the O Burgo-Santiago station so I’ll need to head into A Coruña after all. Thanks for the info though.

Transport from A Coruna (airport) to Ferrol

Thanks again Peb - I was starting to wonder why I was rushing to get to Ferrol - I guess I just wanted to get settled before leaving the next morning but checking out A Coruna sounds like a nice diversion. Any recommendations about getting around A Coruna (walking or bus?) or sights to see...

Transport from A Coruna (airport) to Ferrol

Peb - This is exactly the info I was looking for - thank you SO much! I owe you a drink! I was worried about the time frame to get to Ferrol, but since there is a train around 14:00 or so I'll take that to Ferrol and spend a few hours checking out A Coruna. My backpack is large but I don't...

Transport from A Coruna (airport) to Ferrol

Thanks - I assumed it would go directly to the bus station (last thing I want is a tour of A Coruna by airport bus!). Looking at Google Maps I see the bus depot and petrol station. I just need to make sure to get off then!

Transport from A Coruna (airport) to Ferrol

OK - I'm just slightly freaked out about my Camino which starts on May 5th. I think I have everything set except for getting to Ferrol. I fly into A Coruna on Saturday morning from Barcelona and I'm trying to get to Ferrol at a reasonable hour (hopefully before the tourist center closes so I...

    OK. Checking out of here

All the best on your Camino! In a week from now (local time) I'll be at LAX waiting to board my plane for Barcelona and then start the Camino Ingles.

A busy day in the pilgrim office!

I'll be there on May 9th - I assume the office won't be too busy then. I made my plans to begin my Camino after the festivities of Easter and get to SdeC before mid-May hoping to avoid the masses.

The Unlikely Rise of the Pastel de Nata, and Why It’s Suddenly Everywhere

After leaving SdeC by car to head to Avila and beyond, I'm decided to drop down to Braga and stop for a few hours (which only adds an additional 2 hours to my trip and coming from S. California that's just a drop in the bucket). I've been researching food (if you knew me you'd expect that....)...

    Camino fortune

I’ll head over to Panda Express in two weeks to see if my cookies say anything about my Camino.

Where to store backpacks when arriving in Santiago?

I will. It turns out the hotel is on the back side of the Cathedral so right after thanking the Good Lord for a (hopefully) good Camino in the plaza I’ll head to the hotel then to the office. Hoping it won’t be crazy busy on May 9th. Thanks for the tips.

Where to store backpacks when arriving in Santiago?

I guess I meant checking it in at the consigna - I have no problem paying for storage, I just didn't want to have to haul it around for a few hours before checking into my hotel. I just didn't know it there was a minimum time limit on the length of storage.

Where to store backpacks when arriving in Santiago?

Trust me, I'm sure I'm stressing about everything right now.... do I know enough Spanish, will I have enough food on the Ingles, do I take the old route by Bar Julia or take the new route, blisters(?!), the best crossing from Ferrol to Pontedeume.... stuff that's keeping me awake at 2 in the...
