I read about the Camino when I was young, and always dreamed of making a pilgrimage. As life rolled on, the dream turned into a vague, "someday I'd like to do that." Then, about seven years ago, I found myself struggling through crisis after crisis, culminating in several serious health issues. I am now on the mend. I'm able to walk in the nearby regional park, a lovely, wooded, and hilly place with many trails. I view this as training for the Camino. I'm walking two miles a day. Looking back on where I was a year ago, this is huge. This next week I'm aiming for two and a half miles per day. I'm excited about my progress. I'm even more excited that my dream of a pilgrimage is going to come true. I love coming to this site and reading all the different stories. Thank you so much for the opportunity to come here while I prepare for my own Camino!
