    Correos Luggage transfer

I made all of my arrangements with Correos here in the U.S. prior to leaving. They are easy to work with, you can change your accommodation plans along the way as long as you let them know ahead of time. I also shipped items to myself to the main Correos office in Santiago, they will hold...

    Porto to Santiago

Which route are you planning, coastal or central?? I did the coastal in 2022, found the way markings lacking in some areas, you really had to look for the correct marking. English is widely spoken but not always, especially in the smaller towns, especially when checking into a hotel. There are...

Yes, Pilgrim menus are available in restaurants throughout the Portuguese Camino from Porto, same low prices. As on the French Camino, the menus are posted at the entrance to the restaurants, you just have to look for them.

Travel question (connection through Schiphol) for the seasoned travelers

Schiphol is huge, it depends on passport control as well as where your connecting gate is. Also, where you are seated on your plane from OPO. They don't hold planes for people from connecting flights, I speak from experience on that one and had to spend the night in AMS.

    Camino Portuguese packing list (help)

Yes, 2 pr. underwear, one quick drying towel. I never had time to change into anything "good" at night, it seems that most people just wear their trail clothes. '22 Coastal route.

This is more than a 20 minute project! Good idea, though.

    Gaiters

I brought gaiters last year when I did that route, never had to use them. The sand is now covered with very nice boardwalks but they get slippery when wet so be careful.

    Quick drying hiking tshirt help

Yes!! Shampoo works great on the trail, or just traveling in general. Hotels usually supply the little bottles, and a little goes a long way.

    Quick drying hiking tshirt help

I found the merino wool worked great for me last year on the Coastal Portuguese Camino. I washed them every night because the did smell, no way could I have worn them for two days...maybe I'm just stinky!! The good thing is they dry overnight.

    A KAS Lemon Clone

Fanta Limon is available in Portugal, discovered that last year when Orange wasn't available. They also sold it at Schipol in Amsterdam!

Yes, Decathlon, there are two stores in Porto. Bought mine from them last May, at that time they sold poles individually, not as a pair.

    Apple Air Tag

Yes, but the airlines don't really listen to you. I eventually got my bag and Apple Air Tag returned after five days when returning from Lisbon last year after the Portuguese Camino. At least I got my bag returned from the airlines.
