Dearest Fellow Pilgrim,
We are all thinking of you after this terrible experience. You are very courageous to share your traumatic experience and to warn us also. This man should be taken to court, as he did put his hands on you violently, which is a form of assault. This is serious and i hope...
Thanks for your reply and feedback. Did you see a lot of other pilgrims there or get a sense of their impressions? Were there any parts of the exhibit that stood out? Were there any original artifacts directly connected with Camino? How did this compare with any other museum experiences you had...
The Santander museum was excellent and has many of the original portable paleolithic art from the caves too. Good multi-media presentations of caves also. I just went without reservation, and it's free certain days, so check first. there's also an exhibit on the Candamo de la pena caves, which I...
I used the guide published by Cicerone, Laura Perazzoli and Dave Whitson "The Northern Caminos, Norte, Primitivo and Ingles" It worked great. I also saw the one from the tourism office you mentioned, which was good too and free! Good luck and Buen camino!
I walked the Norte and Primitivo solo last summer, and nothing but fantastic experiences! I was also concerned at first, as I had no phone and wasnt' sure how remote it was. I had no problems. I did also hook up with pilgrims en route who I walked with. I would recommend checking each stage...
YES, it is worth it, even though it's a replica. It is one of the most important and oldest cave art sites in the world. However, I would highly suggest checking out several other actual cave art sites, on or near the Camino del Norte. Puente Viesgo has several caves, just 25 minute bus ride...
Does anyone know if this is the premier exhibition in this new venue? When did the museum formally open to public? How has it been received by locals and pilgrims? I heard there was much controversy over the expenditure of funds during a recession for a facility far from the city center, that...
Sounds like you handled this well. I too, was walking with my friend early in the morning through a lovely meadow full of sheep on the Frances, when we passed a man sitting on a wall. He was truly rising and shining, and we quickly passed by him at a safe distance. Fortunately, he seemed...
Great cartoon! What is that website please? I'm doing a research thesis on the Camino, and especially issues around what are "true" and "authentic" pilgrims.
Thanks
Kristine
Greetings,
Nice to hear from another student doing a thesis on the Camino. I will fill out your survey, but I did not use a smart phone. I would be most grateful if you could fill out mine also on cultural heritage tourism. Below is a link. Thanks and good luck!

Dear Vivien,
Great to hear from another student writing a final project on the Camino. I am a student from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, also writing my senior thesis on El Camino, and how cultural heritage tourism is affecting the Way. I'd be glad to fill out your survey, if you...
