ALERT Robbery on Stage 1
Piogaw: the guy who attacked me was, when sober a nice guy, who I'd shared a few beers with since Fuentes de cantos. Turns out he is a mean drunk. Sleeping bag or liner?
You'll be fine with a sheet liner....as long as you have a warm jacket....only 2 places didn't have blankets on the bed for the first third of the VdlP I've done so far and think those places would have found you something if you asked. Camping on the VDLP
If you are talking about camping wild much easier than on the Frances ....less people and more parks..at least on the first third that I have done so far. If you need a screw top gas canister there is a Decathalon sports store just 2 blocks off the Camino on your first day. I've only seen 2...- Katakun

How crowded is the VdlP?
Used my poncho, held up with hiking poles, used like a tarp to keep the dew off. I used my 1m x 2m silnylon pic nic ground cloth to sleep on. It was a lovely starry night. Made a nice change. Albuerges have been plentiful and high quality so far up to Barros.- Katakun

How crowded is the VdlP?
Some from injuries...hip strain, swollen knee, instep pain, and the usual blisters. They are staying at various friendly Albuerges to recover. In my case I camped out to let the crowd move ahead. How crowded is the VdlP?
The field is thinning out. I saw only 3 peregrinos on the trail from Real to Monesterio today. There is a small sign out front of Alburgue Parochial. But it is easy to miss. No Frances manic panic for a bed. This is one Tranquillo Camino.- Katakun
