    Memories

Today it was raining so I thought I would do some sorting....found my backpack put it on and lost the last three years and went wandering round our wood with the dogs feeling comfortable and complete!

    In Memorium - my boots

I understand completely. Sad. Mine are resting in a dark place waiting to be shown The Way again.. unfortunately this can’t happen as I need to preserve my knees and hips for my older age! I can’t even clean them as dust from the Camino still lingers.... however perhaps I should clean them...

    Noise in Albergue

It's Spain, that is how they are and always have been....perhaps splash out a bit and stay in a hotel away from the noise like we did. Good advice for everyone.

    Fanny pack/Bum bag...

I agree - it could be considered as a target for thieves. My best and most useful item for valuables on the Camino was a Scottevest - not cheap, but I now use it for any holiday. Only problem is that it has so many pockets that I forget where anything is!

Where do all the pilgrims sleep when 400 people start SJPP?

Whatever did we do before the internet?!

Anyone returned to the Camino for a holiday?

Many times from SW France ... and felt very conspicuous wearing normal clothes (but at the same time envious of the pilgrims wearing the equipment necessary!) Loved driving slowly through all the Camino Frances villages hooting encouragement at the pilgrims on the N120, taking detours and above...

    May or June

Yes, I walked in May 2013 - it was awful, (especially attending to one's needs in a hurry before anyone came, behind a bush with sodden gloves, squelching boots and wet trousers that stuck to your legs) it really tested ones reserves!

    birds on the meseta

    Juvenil Juvenile hedge sparrow?

    Jewelry on the Camino

You can buy some lovely inexpensive shell earrings on eBay!

Do I really need walking sticks ?

Some people look amazingly uncoordinated with their poles (my husband included, but he won't be able to read this thank the Lord!) You Tube very useful for those who have a have a problem with the synchronising of feet and tap tap of the poles!;)

All set for Camino.... Leave tonight.... Terrified and excited in equal measure.

Go to the amazing chocolate shop - buy a big bar and take some with you! Very envious of you - wish I could do it all again....have a wonderful time. Ultreia

How often do you wash your silk liner

I wore clothes in bed because it was cold, so no need to wash! i.e. it didn't smell!

    Compostelas in Finisterra

Do we get anything with our old (or new) credentials walking from Santiago to Muxia?

    Twanging trekking poles

    Tok tok, tok tok...

    Passports

And I have another question. We are driving to SdC and walking to Muxia. Can we take our 2015 Credential that was stamped in SdC and use it onward to Muxia? (the original credentials were issued in Condom where we live).
