    Has anyone used a Faraday bag for their tel or computer?

    I'm not sure why you would want to do that, unless you were particularly anxious to be unlocatable. But taking the device out of the bag brings it back into the normal world, so you should have no unusual problems with wifi.

    Thanks @dougfitz, that fits with the advice CaminoTellers give in one of their YouTube videos to start in the second part of the month, on the assumption that more people start in the first week. I'm even starting to wonder if I should try to delay my start till June.
