My wife and I are planning our Camino and one question that came to mind was: If the Albergues are full what are our options for a place to sleep. My wife suggested bringing a tent as a backup but I would rather not carry the extra weight and I have yet to hear of anyone doing that. I imagine...

Those are good words... You're right, it is your Camino and you did right for your daughter. Having quality time with her and helping her have a memorable experience is far more important than any thing else.
