October - book accommodations ahead of time?
I walked from Valenca to Santiago at the end of September/October last year. I booked hotels on Booking.com in advance. I changed a couple on the day and there were quite a few available. If I did it again, I would only book the first night and wing the rest. That way you have flexibility.- Martinwell

I was at the 7:30pm Mass on October 3 and was fortunate to see the Botufumeira. I was further removed from your pew, but had a great view and experienced a beautiful tradition. The Cathedral seemed to be much less crowded than earlier in the month. Thank you for sharing.- Martinwell
