Hospedería San Martín Pinario (dates opening up for pilgrim room)

A lovely gesture. I stayed there in Oct for several nights and loved every moment. Emailed on a whim close to my stay and was rewarded…the Camino provided right to the end of walking and it continues. Blessings to all.

    First Time Peregrina

Lucky you! I started Sept 1 2021 and had the time of my life, good days, great days & ok days. I couldn’t sleep for months being so excited to just go. For me, Covid didn’t exist once I left SJPDP meaning I didn’t think or talk about it, so refreshing. At that time no Covid vaccination passes...

Advice: should we attempt SJPP to Roncesvalles?

Personally I had great fun in the refuge in Orrison where I met my camino family. It’s a tough enough 8-9km punt uphill to Orisson and last Sept it rained but when the afternoon opened up this amazing sight was all ours for hours enjoying the company of other pilgrims. I think you’ll have lots...

    Physical prep

I developed pretty bad tendonitis in one foot which will take time to heal, but I walked to the bitter end with it, definitely an injury that was avoidable. I wish more attention was drawn to this in guided etc, I just might have seen.

Only one thing I wish I did was to spend time walking on rocky and stony surfaces.

A wonderful report from the Camino. Thank you for sharing, And you headed to Ramanal where Isabelle in Albergue de Pillar provided a safe haven to me for four days with much tenderness snd care while I recovered from an injury. I hope that wonderful village affords you the same.

Focusing on transformation versus being 100% present

And I shared similar and it was outstanding this Sept & Oct on CF. Wouldn’t change one part of it.

How common are double bed bunks on the CF?

Hola. Just completed the CF. Only place I saw true double bunks was in Albergue A Reboleiru (highly recommended and best pilgrim dins, across the road). Here’s a pic, only self stayed in the loft (Oct 9) as was an overflow space. Can’t imagine in time of Covid and foreseeable future that...
