I'm planning to walk from Porto to Santiago de Compostela sometime in 2015, probably September. Walked the Frances route last year. Anyone else making a plan for the coastal route ?
Dunno, maybe it's my OCD but I'm planning to go back and walk the sections I skipped in Sept-Oct of 2013. Should take about 2 weeks; this time I'll know what I'm doing.
Hi Trekster, I'm taking an iPhone 5 and wondering about getting a Spanish nano SIM. What was your experience with that and where did you get the SIM card? Thanks
Jim
I won't be checking my bag and finally decided that I have so much time and effort already invested in this trip that I will buy poles in Europe after I exit the airport security systems. In my case, at Sport 2000 in Lourdes.
Hi Susan,
Similar responsibilities have kept me from the Camino, but I will be in Lourdes on 9/16 and then walking out of St. Jean on 9/18. Best to you and Buen Camino.
Jim
I like the metaphor "interior landscape". Although I stopped being overtly Type A a few years ago, I am hoping to further weed my "interior garden" when I Camino in September.
I passed thru security at BWI today on business trip and stopped to talk to a TSA Supervisor about carrying my z-poles in carry-on luggage. The only thing he wanted to know was if they had sharp metal tips. I told him they have rubber tips and his answer was "no problem".
