Starting from Arles April - money from La Poste

Hi, Here you can search the ATMs operated by the Banque Postale, inside or outside their premices : https://www.labanquepostale.fr/particulier/localisation_bureau.html For safety reasons, the post offices (usually) don't store any cash outside of the ATMs. If a customer wants to retrieve some...

    Is this Camino clothing heresy?

Hi, The French call the (boiler suit) "salopette". Plenty of models here: https://la-salopette.fr/collections/salopette-homme with this slogan: "Looking for comfort?" :) Plenty of models : denim, camo, alleged US Military, detachable top... but not really cheap... :(

    Is this Camino clothing heresy?

Hi, By the way : backpacks are to be carried with a belt, if not on the very light side.

    Is this Camino clothing heresy?

"what is all this to do with short sleeved boiler suits??" : my comment was... about boiler suits, not kilts.

    Is this Camino clothing heresy?

Hi, Just one thing : you will have to wash - and dry! - the whole of it. With a more conventional attire, your daily washing is only your t-shirt and underwear.

    "normal" daily routine

Hi, Your priority when you arrive at the albergue is to have a shower then wash your laundry and dry it before sunset (quite a challenge in October). Then up to you : chat, cerveza, visit of the surroundings, phone call to next accommodation, etc. and finally dinner when available.

    Backpack Pick

Hi, You might be happy with this backpack : https://sierradesigns.com/flex-capacitor-40-60/ I have one, use it for mountain trips, and I like it. IMHO, I would have no use for a smaller pack, which would weigh about the same and might be less comfortable.

    Prescriptions on the Via Podiensis

Hi, Just in case you need to refill, make sure to know the INN (International Nonproprietary Name) of your medication. French equivalent : DCI (Dénomination Commune Internationale). More on INN : https://www.who.int/teams/health-product-and-policy-standards/inn/guidance-on-inn

    Rest Days on the Podiensis

Hi, Among other ones, Figeac (Musée des écritures), Moissac (abbaye), Navarrenx. I did and enjoyed.

    Massage therapist in SJPdP?

Hi, As Pelerina just said, Google "kiné saint jean pied de port" will bring you several answers. Note that those professionals are often over-busy with their usual patients.

    Sellos on the Francigena

Hi, At the door of the Cathedral (Duomo) in Lucca (where you have to pay, as for many major churches in Italy) : "- Got a reduced rate for pilgrims? - No, but I can give you a stamp. - OK..."

    Prescription drugs

Hi, Same advice : bring your own supply for the duration of your camino. I guess you know that, but for what it's worth : in France, a fair number of people have been destabilized by (slight?) changes in Levothyroxine formulation, describing secondary effects, raising claims, asking for damage...

Le Puy-en-Velay to St. Privat d’Allier in one day?

Hi, in fact the descent to the river leads to Monistrol-d'Allier. Saint-Privat is on the top of a hill. and Monistrol is on the river, after a bridge built by Gustave Eiffel This being said, Le Puy - St-Privat is less strenuous, by far, than SJPdP-Roncesvalles, but is a significant stage...

Options: what to do after arriving in Santiago
