    I was in Santiago for the weekend and of five or six processions only two on Friday happened. The rain prevented the others. Nonetheless the ones I saw were impressive and moving.

    I followed the instructions sent by Vodafone. First did the download at home and then turned on the data plan when I landed in Madrid. It worked very well.

    That’s what I’m using right now on the Camino Frances. And I’m pleased with it. I can use WhatsApp to call home. The signal has been very good so far.

    I’m seeing snow on the mountains west of Astorga and wondering about road. And also wondering about accommodations— no responses to emails inquiring about reservations. Some Albergues might not be open contrary to what the Wise pilgrims app says.
