stix on a plane Of course, canes and other walking aids are permitted on planes. You have to put your stick through the x-ray at security check, but you should have no problem getting it through. You can always call an airport to make sure.- Pellegrina8

Yes, it is some time away yet. But God willing, that year will find me on the Camino with shell and staff. It is the next holy year... the year I turn 40... and by then I'll either be finished with my degree, or just... finished. I'll start from near Vezelay, how long does that take? Burro! I, too, have been thinking of walking with a small donkey, or burro. It was on the suggestion of my partner so I wouldn't be burdened by a pack and also have a companion.
