I stayed at Roots and Boots ...less than 10 minutes walk to The Cathedal square. Established albergue , lovely back garden , coffee/breakfast available , loys of interesting pilgrims to talk to . Nice place - worth a look .
Lisbon Cathedral / Se . .........and low down on the right hand side (?) of the cathedral ...You will find Your first Yellow Arrow ........Bom Caminho !
Whichever You choose ....go to Tomar . It's an extraordinary place , a treat for the eyes ...and the morning walk out of the town , following the river , is just beautiful . Tomar , definitely !
We stayed in fabulous campsites run by a company called Orbitur ( in Portugal) . They do cheap overnight rates for pilgrims ...8-12 euros per person . There is one in Lavra and one near Caminha ( with one site in-between ...but I can't remember where ...!?). You get a 2 roomed " chalet" , there...
