    Possible to transport pack on Del Salvador

    We just did from Leon to Pola de Lena for 4 days with Jacotrans. It's costly at 35€ per day for 2 bags....but worth it as you will need to bring food with you on these stages, so transporting less needful things is better.

I walked the Camino Frances from St. Jean PdP to Santiago last year and they had mochilla transports (e.g. JacoTrans) from town to town. I didn't use them...

    ....so that's what it looked like. It rained moderately from SJPP to Orrison. From Orrison to Roncesvalle it poured down rain the entire time....but I'd do it again in a heartbeat - rain or not.

    Is finishing in Santiago important?

    ....mixed bag answer : walk as far as you want towards Santiago leaving yourselves a few days at the end. Take a bus from where you wind up to Santiago. It's well worth "being part" of that...you'll see people you've met earlier on and it's quite fantastic. The Pilgrim's Mass is something to see...
