Getting to Europe by cargo ship
Haha, at least the front didn't fall off on that one ;-) We did a repositioning trip on a sailing vessel (www.starclippers.com) from Barbados to Lisbon in early spring. The vessel was at about 50% capacity with about 135 on board. Trip took 17 days. But you still had to fly to meet it in...- rick taylor

Possible to transport pack on Del Salvador
We just did from Leon to Pola de Lena for 4 days with Jacotrans. It's costly at 35€ per day for 2 bags....but worth it as you will need to bring food with you on these stages, so transporting less needful things is better.- rick taylor

Greetings all... This question is more geared to those who have already walked the peace walk, which I wholeheartedly intend do to in 2016. I walked the Camino Frances from St. Jean PdP to Santiago last year and they had mochilla transports (e.g. JacoTrans) from town to town. I didn't use them...- rick taylor

....so that's what it looked like. It rained moderately from SJPP to Orrison. From Orrison to Roncesvalle it poured down rain the entire time....but I'd do it again in a heartbeat - rain or not.- rick taylor

Is finishing in Santiago important?
....mixed bag answer : walk as far as you want towards Santiago leaving yourselves a few days at the end. Take a bus from where you wind up to Santiago. It's well worth "being part" of that...you'll see people you've met earlier on and it's quite fantastic. The Pilgrim's Mass is something to see...- rick taylor
