Started in Astorga sunday now just arrived in Herrerias Very tough going carrying 10kg and over the mountain from Rabanal to Ponferrada 34 km Today not so bad Will have full blog and pics on http://www.roryp.com On Friday- Rory P

Walking the Camino next week...
Hi Grace I am starting in Astorga on 19th and hope to make Pontferado on 20th May and plan to make it to Santiago by 30th.Have a safe and great Camino and also to office girl and hubby! so keep a look out for each other along the way to say hello Colin, why do we need to get 2 stamps per day...- Rory P

Nearly there cant'wait!!
Finally getting there-got all the gear and back pack should be no more than 8kg- getting bus from Madrid to Astorga on 19th and then heading for Rabinal for first stage-aiming to arrive in Santiago 30th-looking forward to meeting up with fellow pilgrims along the way all going well!! Rory P- Rory P

Re: my suggestion- Astorga to Santiago I intend to fly to Madrid on 18 th May and spend the day looking around the city.Next day I am planning to get the bus to Astorga on the 20th start out for Santiago and hopefully make it there by the 31st.Thanks for the advice on starting in Astorga it...- Rory P
