It's been about three weeks now and I'm still getting hit with bouts of this. It is a sad post-Camino vacation to be in Italy and not want to eat, let alone walk. I get tired easily and prone to chills and fever. I've emailed my doctor for advice; don't have time to get to one here. In...
Thank you. Well, the Camino provided. A taxi parked by our bus stop and told us the bus was coming. It took us to Herrieras. A taxi pulled up as soon as we got off, who was dropping off a Peregrina so she could ride a horse to O C, and he was driving her pack. So he took us, too. He had to...
We’re late getting to my sister-in-law and need a bus to O Cebreio. The Alsa website said one was coming at 12:20. Didn’t come. The tourist office said it only goes to Las Herrerias and comes at 1:30. Stuck at bus stop.
I have only been on the Norte, and there I found the shops few and far between the few “cities“. There are several days that only go through villages. Be sure to have what you need, especially for rain. Buen Camino!
I walked del Norte in May 2016; started in San Sebastián, which was a great little city (Old Town) as long as I didn’t get lost. After I lost my guide, which I named The Crappy, I downloaded Wise Pilgrim Guide on my phone. It has altitude, distance, allergies, booking.com link - everything I...
Thank you so much for posting this. It's my sister-in-law Nancy that's being so lovingly considered, and my husband pointed out to me, after I read these posts, that yes, she is capable and maybe older than 84, but she is almost legally blind. So keeping to a simple solution would be the best...
WWIT when I shipped forward my nice poncho because it had been so sunny and it was heavy? Of course I got caught in a day so rainy I was soaked before noon. The Camino does provide - the store by the albergue that night had a bunch of them!
Thanks for quick reply. After posting, of course, I found some posts about getting to Sarria. Looks like flying from LAX to Madrid, then train to Sarria. I now have to figure my best guess as to when we'll arrive there from SJPdP so we can meet up and make a reservation at a pension!
My sister-in-law would like to join us for the last 100 km of the Frances. Where should she fly in to and what place would she start at?
Thanks for any information.
