"Ticket now booked from London St Pancras on Eurostar to Paris, and then TGV from Paris to Biarritz".
Hi Tim
Re Eurostar, for some reason unknown to normal life forms, Eurostar think they are an airline and not a railway company. As a consequence they consider walking poles as "hold" baggage...

By train ,the easiest way is the sleeper from Rome to Paris and then catch a TGV at your leisure to Bayonne. Then its just the branch line to SJPdP.
You can do it via Genoa and Nice but it is a bit of a pain with a lot of changes.
Details on seat61.com for Rome-Paris-Bayonne.

From Santiago you can take the sleeper to Madrid, have the morning there and then an afternoon train at 3 from Atocha station to Algeciras, gets in at about 8.15.
Taxi or bus from the station to the border, they don't cross into Gib.

If you go on the teva.co.uk website and use the store locator, you will find plenty of Teva stockists in Sweden and Denmark, but not Norway. Possibly because it is the home of Teva Pharmaceuticals.
Hi-tec also make good hiking sandal's and are usually much cheaper than Teva.
Good luck.

One is a sleeper, Intercités de Nuit and one a hotel train. The difference being the sleeper is cheaper and consists of couchettes and seats whilst the hotel train will have first and second class cabins as well as a bar etc.
