Light tent vs Bivy bag
One issue with bivy bags is condensation, due to the smaller area and less ventilation when compared with a tent. During rainy times that could add some discomfort. That's a very good base weight. In general "backpacking" when talking about pack weight food, water, (gas backcounty not the Camino) is not included in that weight, and called your base weight.
