One amazing day on Camino dos Faros/Costa da Morte!

I walked the whole Faros in May this year and it is probably the most spectacular Camino I have walked. It is not an easy route in parts and not for the faint-hearted when walking some of the narrow coastal ledges. It sticks to the coast like a limpet. It is not an official Camino although it...

    Compostela and Sello

I have walked 4 official routes but never bothered to get two stamps in the last 100k and I have had no problems getting the Compostela. That is probably because the Pilgrim Office take a view on it and if you have walked a significant distance gaining one stamp a day they accept you have...

Camino del Norte in 2 weeks

You might want to consider doing the Primitivo from Oviedo as that can be done in the time you have and saving the Norte for another time as it deserves the full walk.

    Ryanair-time to find another airline!

I am not a fan of Ryanair but in this situation the aircrew were probably correct to remove the lady from the situation of suffering any more verbal abuse. The flight was already delayed by over an hour and removing the guy from the flight would have delayed it by a further two hours at least -...

    Blister product advice

As per martin1ws gel toe tubes do the trick. I was prone to get an annoying blister on a little toe but putting these on before walking stopped any reoccurrence - just cut to the length required. You can get the tubing in different sizes for different toes. Best to buy on the internet before you...

    Tano, nok cream, sweaty feet...

In my experience you should keep your feet supple to avoid blisters - not harden them. Vaseline does the job - messy putting it on but it does absorb well. I use that with 1,000 Mile socks that have an inner liner and that does the trick for me - four Caminos completed with no blisters. Buen...

Vaseline - Is it an Essential Item to Pack?

1,000 Mile Socks and plenty of Vaseline on feet = no blisters! Who cares about the mess! Buen Camino

Primitivo or continue on the Norte?

Good sound advice from Antonius - I have done both and stayed on the Norte and then came back to do the Primitivo. If you are not coming back then go the Primitivo route as it is more beautiful.

    Average Incline....

You can overthink these things and reading guide books warning of severe climbs can make you overly fearful - the hills won't move so you just have to go over them. I walked the Norte in 2016 and the Primitivo in 2017 and found both okay - your body will adapt and you will be racing up them by...
