    I have an iPhone 4s with Verizon, when called to have it unlocked they try very hard to convince me to use their international roaming plan. After I explained I can get a local SIM with data a lot cheaper than their plan they unlocked it for me.

    There is no customs while traveling between the European Union countries. Probably the old customs buildings still exist at most crossings but they are no longer used for border control.

    Thank you for the information. My wife and I visited Valenca a few years ago and we felt in love with Portugal, that is one of the reasons we want to start in Valenca instead of Tui. Can't wait to start my camino.
