    Pigs ears?

I stopped into a bar in Navarette at lunch today and choose the only thing on offer which didn't have sea food in it (can't eat it) which was a pig dish. They were flat pieces of meat, quite dark, and skewered together. Not bad tasting but I couldn't handle the texture, it was soft, not slimy...

Should I do a Camino Course beforehand??

Except Kanga is in Sydney...and the OP is in Melbourne (where did NZ come from?!) I do think a lot of people go under prepared and so I respect the desire to go on a course. I do think that reading guidebooks, reading this forum and then asking questions will be sufficient. And yes, if you...

    Bed bugs in winter

When I did it for my summer walk it involved washing with gloves and mask on, scrubbing your skin afterwards, drying the items in certain conditions, not disposing of it except in a certain way, but most of all it was just the most vile smell ever...

    Bed bugs in winter

Are they much of a concern during the winter months? The pre-treatment process for sleeping gear is a horror and I'd like to avoid doing it if possible. What are your thoughts?

    Jewellery in Leon

Does anyone have any recommendations for good quality/local artisan jewellery shops in Leon? I would like to buy a piece as a memento of my walk however I am not after anything which is specifically Camino related.

    Catholic Protocol

A priest is no more qualified to answer this question than someone with a degree in Theology, or indeed a person well educated in Catholicsm! They can get it wrong too...

    Catholic Protocol

No, Communion is the celebration of Baptism and Confirmation. I'm not going into it, too long, I've not enough time and I don't think it's relevant to the OP. I encourage you to do some more reading on the matter though, it's interesting stuff :) The Australian bishop of Paramatta, Bishop...

I carried my own from home, but I've lived in other countries in Europe without difficulty finding similar products
