To Bring or Not to Bring on the Camino?

If you are going to bring your DSLR, I would suggest that you carry it in a away that it is readily available. If you keep in it your pack, I think you would be less likely to use it and it would just become dead weight.

Bamboo or merino?

One important takeaway from my Camino experience is that merino is amazing! (I'm wearing a merino shirt right now...) If you can make it work for you without a negative reaction, I would go merino all the way. This time of year there are good sales, so give it a try!

Pack is too large for carry-on

I too ended up with a pack that was bigger than I wanted because of fit. I had planned to get a 36L women's pack, but after walking around in the store, I felt the small pack was suffocating me - and ultimately ended up with a man's 48L (though in the small size it is actually 46L). I was glad...
