Additional week post walk - What do you recommend?

Hi,

I am planning to finish my Camino walk in early November in Finisterre and am giving myself one week leeway prior to returning home.

A few options come to mind on how to spend that additional week i.e. Barcelona, Madrid or continuing the walk to Muxia then back to Santiago where I would spend a few days.

Any thoughts on your experience? Other suggestions welcome!

We took time out in Santiago and walked part of the 'Walk of Walks', up Monte Pedrouzo; then took a bus to Coruña, Tower of Hercules the oldest working lighthouse in the world, and also Moores grave; then bus again to Lugo and the Roman walls, museums and recently restored cathedral. That leaves you with about an hour's bus ride to Santiago and the airport.

Brought us back by stages into the 'real' world.

Spending a couple of days in SDC is always great. It is here one can see others met along the way that arrive after. Walking to Muxia and then Finisterre is a beautiful option. Maybe after finished walking, take a bus from SdC to Porto. This is a wonderful city. I know many go to Coruña as well, and I always hear the best of this.

The Camino Ingles is nice. I think generally only about 3 days walking from A Coruna or 5 from Ferrol to Santiago. Buen Camino!
