Hello everyone just wanting to make some friends along the way, I'm beginging my journey this month, I was curious if anyone eles is starting in Lisbon or Porto in the up coming week? Kindest thoughts

Welcome on the forum Emma . Enjoy this great walk either from Lisbon or
Porto .You will love Portugal , the friendly people and fantastic food and wines.
If you start in or around Lisbon, don't forget to stay at Mario's hostal in Santarèm, Solo Duro in Golegã , Hilario's albergue in Mealhada/Serdanella .
On thePorto to Santiago leg walk out of Porto to Matosinhos and Vila do Conde (have a look on the map ) and from there to São Pedro de Rates and on to Barcelos and Ponte de Lima..
The best address on this leg is at casa da Fernanda in Vitorino dos Piaës between Barcelos and Ponte de Lima. Plan this otherwise you will miss the real caminho spirit.

Totally pilgrim friendly, and the owners (Joana and Pedro, sister and brother), have already walked the Portuguese Caminho a couple of times.
