Currently walking the VdlP for the second time and this time i’m wanting to skip ahead from Salamanca directly to Zamora, can anyone tell me which bus company covers this route i seem to be having problems finding out using online searches! I have searched the forum also and find references to there being buses but not which company. Thanks, Yvonne

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
I will be taking the bus from Salamanca to Zamora in late April and they run nearly every hour between the two cities.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
Since the buses run every hour, we are planning to buy them when we actually get on the bus, and hope it works out.
Thanks Chrissy, hopefully that will work out. We have a rest day in Salamanca before going to Zamora so i might enquire at the tourist information there and i’ll let you know what they say

Great! Do you know when you will you be needing the bus?

Can confirm you just buy the tickets on the bus - in fact it's not possible to reserve seating ahead of time.
There is a ticket office in Salamanca (not always open) but it seems to be massicot for people wanting to buy a 40-trip subscription.
Be careful in the weekends as the bus is much less frequent.

Rode the bus not long ago from El Cubo to Zamora, the bus is flexible (the Spanish way) so don't get discouraged if it is a few minutes late (but also be there a good 10 minutes before it is scheduled to leave just to be sure). You can buy the ticket on the bus. When in Zamora, get off at the first stop. The bus station is further away from the center and the albergue, and then first stop will feel random but is actually better situated. (The bus stopes once before terminating at the bus station).

Hi Chrissy i’m getting the bus today 18th April, it was all very straightforward, ticket kiosk number 8, the displayed notice says the ticket kiosk is open Monday to Friday 09:30 to 13:25 and 16:00 to 19:25, Saturday 22:30 to 23:10, Sunday closed

I have no clue what you would do if the kiosk was closed, i’m presuming pay on the bus?
