Just received a mailing from KADOC, part of the Catholic University of Leuven, announcing the start of an exhibition that might be of interest to forum members. My knowledge of Flemish is zero so I used google translate to do the job so expect the usual clunkiness. Contact the university if you require further information.

For centuries attract pilgrims to the tomb of Saint James in Santiago de Compostela. They are often, especially in this time, in search of himself. The Hajj acts as a form of spiritual illumination. From April 9 to 13 August you can in a different way in KADOC the Camino, the pilgrim route to Santiago, meet. The exhibition El Camino - The way between two points - which encompasses the entire site KADOC shows what the ancient pilgrimage route today brings in artists.

El Camino - The way between two points - is an art project featuring work by Christine Clinckx, Stijn Cole cell Crabeels, Ronny Delrue, Renato Nicolodi and Jonas Vansteenkiste. These artists have each made the Camino in their own way and at a different time. The work they did on the way, and the result of their experiences brought curator Christa Vyvey in an international traveling and evolving exhibition that started in Bruges and was later featured in Narbonne. The stage in KADOC is the next step. Themes like migration, identity and interaction forms a thread.

The exhibition opens on Friday April 7 and will run from April 9th to August 13th. She is Monday t.e.m. Friday from 9 to 17h and Sundays from 13 to 17h; it is closed on Saturdays and holidays.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Thank you for sharing this.
Will visit the exhibition early June after walking from Irun to Santiago.

Wish you well,Peter..

We went to Leuven today and visit the exhibition. We both found it a bid disappointing .

Sorry to hear Peter that it was not as good as you had hoped.

But then again ; Leuven is such a nice city. Hope you went for a drink at Oude Markt?

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
First we went to the St.Pieterskerk to light
a candle.
And after this we went to the Oude Markt to have a drink .
Later this year we want to come back for a long weekend visit .
As you say it's a very nice city.

Wish you well,Peter.
