If I ever get a dog, I'm going to name him (or her) 'Caminho' (unless I get a Spanish dog, then 'Camino'). That way, I'll get to walk (the) Caminho every single day and probably twice a day!

Ahahahahha, ohhhhh my god, you make me laugh so hard here at work XD

That's also a great conversation starter in my opinion.

Best Regards
Diogo

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Or I will call him Santiago. That way I'll always be nearby!

Glad I made your workday a wee bit funnier, Diogo! I hope you weren't drinking a café com leite when you read my post, and spit it out! Hahaha!

I can't drink any kind of thing on the reception

Ha ha! Next you‘ll be getting a horse called Pilgrimage, so whenever you need to go anywhere you can go on Pilgrimage! /

Dang...all the good lines are already taken...

Anyone have other puns, one-liners, clean(ish) jokes, or just funny stories about the Camino? I can always use a lift as I sit here brooding from my last Camino, April-May 2013, and dreaming/planning my next Camino May 2014.

Thanks in advance...

Ouch!
(Good one, Tyrrek!)
(I guess if that was the case, I couldn't sing America's song: "I've been through the Camino on a horse with no name... But it did feel so good to get out of the rain...") (Apologies to the band America...!)

The meter is all wrong for the "Horse With no Name" parody. Since Camino has three syllables, I think we need a tune with a "key word" that also has three syllables.

What about the Canadian National Anthem? Seriously, "Oh Can-a-da" is not materially different from "Cam-in-o."

I intend no disrespect. It is just the first thing that lept into my feeble mind. But one does wonder if you can rework the words into some thing Camino-centric. The tune and meter is already there.

Just wonderin...

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

I thought you had gone to walk some of the Camino with a friend this month tyrrek ?

Alas, poor Tom, I sang it as that...
Horse With No Name was one of the songs that we butchered, er, sang along the way and using Caminho instead of horse. With timing, you can fit any word into a song.
And if I had a horse called Pilgrimage, then it would completely stand to reason (or sit to reason, if you are like me and sitting at a computer typing this) then it (the song) would have to be changed yet again to something like:
"I'd like to go on the Caminho on a horse with a name..."

It‘s the end of next week - litter picking and a general Camino-pampering of the Meseta.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Have a great time, I hope it doesn't get too wet mate to spoil things for you both.
