I’m walking the Camino Frances from SJPP in late August it Santiago where I’ll meet up with a friend. We’d like to walk to Porto from Santiago. Has anyone done this route? Any advice?

I have walked the other way but I meet a number of folks along the way doing the reverse. The trail is well marked. You will find that the CP is much easier walking than the CF. Porto is a great city to visit, you should plan to spend some time there if you can. Good luck.

I did it at the end of October in 2018. It is very well marked for reverse travel. No issues with finding the path. You will have huge numbers coming at you, and many will tell you you are going the wrong way. Socially, I found it lonely as I met no one going in my direction, and my only conversations with other pilgrims were few and far between in cafes and albergues.
