Compostela Rule on the Frances- break up the last 100 km into 2 years?

My daughter surprised me in Ventas De Naron and walked with me for the lst 50 miles. It was glorious to share this wonderful adventure with her. She did not qualify for a compostela as she did not start in Sarria but starting in Palas de Rei, she bought a credential and began obtaining stamps. Now that she has "caught the Camino bug", we wondered whether she would qualify for a compostela if, NEXT YEAR, she walks from Sarria to Palas de Rei using the same credential?

You can break up the last 100km, but I think you have to finish in Santiago. Having finished in Santiago, adding the first 50km might be a problem. The Compostela is for arriving at the tomb of St. James after walking the last 100km. It is not really for athletic achievement, but more for religious motivation in honor of St. James.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Hi, she will have to walk the last 100km starting in Sarria . And when she is in Santiago she can obtain a Compostela. Wish you both well and a Buen Camino, Peter.
