Its not like on plains. I can buy a set of steakknifes is London and without a problem take them home via Eurostar
Thanks for the advice about breakfast Metropolly, I'm leaving St Pancras on 12th August so will be sure to enjoy my breakfast there.Richeyboy, I took poles and a knife on Eurostar just a few months ago and it was still OK then. No restrictions on liquids either. My most urgent advice to you would be to have your breakfast in the lovely mall at St Pancras before you check in, because once through security it's quite crowded and grim and there's not much choice as to where to buy your coffee!
Looks like I'll be stopping at Patisserie Valerie, nothing like a freshly baked pastry and coffee to get me on my way
Also, irrelevantly, I will remember not to eat steaks in Wessex!.
..... it's the Champagne bar for me!!
But consider eating a steak here:Also, irrelevantly, I will remember not to eat steaks in Wessex!
That's posh!!
Hi,
I am travelling down to the camino frances by train (need to take some time) and am commencing by Eurostar (St Pancras to Paris).
Can anyone who has done this tell me about security checks on that train, are they like by air viz:
Are walking poles packed in a backpack ok?
What about liquids - in plastic bags?
Medical scissors as in 1st Aid packs?
Anything else such as insect repellent sprays?
Look forward to hearing from someone who has done this in the last year or so.
Thanks.
