Hola peregrinos,
I am writing a book set on the Camino. Someone injured on the Dragonte route, near Villafranca del Bierzo, needs to go to hospital. Does anyone know where would they go? They don't need surgery, but the would need to stay overnight at least and have investigations and an MRI or CT scan.

Hi Helen,
Looks like Ponferrada would have the most options for hospitals like that: https://www.paginasamarillas.es/a/hospitales/leon/villafranca-del-bierzo/

Happy writing!

At the moment I have her going to a clinic in Triacastela, being tranferred to Sarria for tests and then transferred to hospital in Lugo. I noticed this sequence of events from a pilgrim whose daughter broke her arm near O'Cebriero, which is in Galicia. Perhaps a quarry worker might drive her to the clinic in Tricastela. When writing as in walking, on the Camino I find it very hard to go backwards!
