Be careful of chocolate. A friend of mine has a severe nut allergy, and told me almost all chocolate is manufactured on the same machines as confections using nuts...

Hard boiled eggs. You can also purchase all sorts of dried meats as well as pull tab cans of tuna and other seafood.
