From today for five days there is a free copy of " SANTIAGO TALES by Joan Fallon" available on kindle.

The author hasn't walked the Camino herself; the book is based on an interview she did with a 76 year-old who walked from St Jean.

In the book, the main character, a woman in her fifties, has a particular reason for walking the Camino, the details of which are revealed on the way. On her journey she meets other pilgrims who, each in turn, in the manner of The Canterbury Tales, tell their own story.

SANTIAGO TALES has been published as an ebook on Kindle and at the end of the month will be available in paperback.

Thanks for this, Sil. Have just downloaded the book and am looking forward to reading it. Should be an interesting perspective compared to the usual pilgrim memoir.
