From Santiago to Madrid by train

Hello everyone!

All I want to ask is that should I book the train ticket in advance on renfe.es or I can buy the ticket at the station for the same price?
I'd like to go with alvia train.

The 9:05 train leaving Santiago rarely gets busy except for peak holiday days, so you could buy the ticket at the station the day or the day before.

If you are interested in saving some money then buying a discount ticket on line and in advance, is advised.

Last time I bought my ticket a couple days in advance at the station but I was not able to get the super discount prices offered on line.

The Renfe ticket office is right next to the Pilgrim Office in Santiago. Although I tried multiple times to buy a Santiago to Madrid ticket online I had to wait until I reached Santiago to make the purchase.
