The Basque country is well covered in well marked trails, Caminos and otherwise. But I live in Donostia/San Sebastian in summers, and have walked the Frances, and I've never heard of a trail connecting SJPD to DSS. Unless someone knows something I don't.......

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

The GR10 (The Pyrenean Way) will get you from SJPdP to Hendaye, then just cross the bridge to Irun, Spain and do the first day's walk of the Camino del Norte to San Sebastián. I've not walked it but there is a ton of information on both well-marked trails on the internet. It would be about 125km from SJPdP to San Sebastián. Buen Camino!

GR10 is marked however I would not describe it as a hike! If walking alone I recommend you only do so if the forecast is good unless you are experienced. A few forum members have walked this route so a search should find some information.
I have heard there is a lower route.

Buen Camino.
