My stages on Camino de San Salvador (3 days)

(The distances are from my GPS-watch the guides might say something different)

Day 1 Leó-Buiza 41,42 km, stayed in the municipal albergue.

Day 2 Buiza-Campomanes 44,61 km (and yes I did go over the mountain not on the road), stayed in a private Pension Casa del Abad (€25 for a single room and my clothes laundered but not completely dry)

Day 3 Campomanes-Oviedo 42,46 km (about 1 km extra as I did a detour into Ujo and back out again and I stayed on the road from Puente de los Fierros to Campomanes due to a closed gate and a thunderstorm) stayed in the municipal albergue.

I just like to walk. But yes I have strong legs and mind ;-)

The terrain is a tough one a lots of ups and downs but so worth it as the views are stunning. Very little roadwalking. The waymarking is sufficient and together with the two excellent guides Enders (http://www.slideshare.net/caminodelsalvador/guia-ingles-del-camino-del-salvador) and Laurie Reynolds & Rebekah Scott (http://www.csj.org.uk/guides-online.htm) there is really no problem of navigating at all (but I did some minor mistakes anyway but they were my falt not reading properly or not being observant).

There are accommodations and food stops available for those who want's to go slower, recommended is 4-5 days but there is suggestions for 6 and 7 in the guides as well. I really recommend this camino, so beautiful, calm and welcoming people.
