Night temperatures in September

I'm walking from Salamanca starting on 12 September - and am wondering if I can save bulk in my pack by just taking a sleeping sheet rather than a sleeping bag. I'm keen to hear from anyone who has walked the Via de Plata in September.

Indoors, it is usually quite temperate for most of the year. Outdoors, that can be an entirely different story. There may be frost on the ground in the morning.

Yes, I've been out on that route in autumn and nights can be cold. I would take a sleeping bag, if I were you.
