Planning for the Camino Ingles/Camino del Norte

My husband and I are planning to walk the Camino Ingles this summer, starting in Reading, England. The route goes to Southampton, where you can take an overnight ferry to Santander. We were wondering about walking from there to Ferrol, or Neda, then picking up the Camino Ingles. Is there a way to do this? It looks as though the Camino del Norte veers inland before we could bridge the two routes.

The Norte turns south at Ribadeo some 80 miles away from Ferrol. You could bridge the two routes by stopping the Norte at Ribadeo and using the FEVE rail line which goes along the coast to Ferrol.

Many thanks! This will help a great deal - I knew there had to be a way, but wasn't able to see "where" and "how" to make the transfer. It looks like a beautiful area! Buen Camino!

The Ruta do Mar is a walking route that links the two. I've not done it but met some pilgrims on the Inglés that had.
Thank you! I thought there had to be a walking route connecting the two. I've just been reading about it after reading your post. Lots to think about.

You can always get public transportation to a starting point is a Way is not available.
