Hi to all fellow caminoists!!.......a simple question ........am doing the Camino next week and we plan on buying poles in St Jean. Here's the thing........when we get to santiago ........can we post them home?????

Yes, posting them is an option, and they aren't on any prohibited list as far as I am aware. Getting them onto an aircraft as cabin baggage is often not possible, even when the current airline safety rules seem to allow that.
