Ponferrada to Ourense

Some time ago someone told me that a new varient of the Camino Frances had been waymarked and thus
recognised. As I remember it, it left the main route at Ponferrada and followed the railway? to join the de la plata at Ourense. Can anyone confirm this information and/or supply a few details?
