This, indeed, great news! I just hope that the food and service are as marvellous as before!

As Laurie rightly says, if you're in Chantada this is a MUST PLACE to eat in.

A selection of Camino Jewellery

Having been on a long vacation to the Netherlands and we took the opportunity to visit Lucus the following day to sample Menú del Día.
These impressions are from only one visit.
Basic impressions are that the establishment is not so busy as we normally expect it to be midday. The rear balcony was not open for service but they had two tables in the pavement on the opposite side of the arches. Neither were occupied.
We sat on a table for two against the wall. The furniture is the same, but we got the feeling there were less covers now.
Two waiters, one was one of the owners, (we found out after talking to them when we were leaving).
As before there is no written menu for Menú del Día.
First plate: We had Lacón and Fabada Gallega. Both were tasty.
Second plate: We both ordered the same. Chicken (sorry folks I cannot remember the name). This was coated in large pieces of bread coating. This had no flavouring in it at all. Served with the obligatory chips (French fries). Unfortunately this plate came with a large dollop of ketchup. It would have been nice to have been offered a choice on this.
Bread was on the table. However there was no salad. It used to be brought to the table on a separate dish. We did not see any other table have a salad either.
Dessert/postre: One death by chocolate. But it was hardy any death at all, as the portion was not so large. The other was the traditional flan. Home made but tasted as if the base was from a packet. My favourite from other visits, tiramisu, is no longer on the menu.
No coffee was taken.

The menu now costs 9.50€ each.
The TV has been removed from the restaurant which means this is only the second one in this area that has this bonus!
The cook now rings a table bell.located at the serving hatch, when a plate is ready to be served.
As a side note, guests of ours eat there last night and were the only ones eating.
