Santiago de Compostela to Ferrol

Time of past OR future Camino
Last Camino Sep 23 Camino Portuguese (Central)
Hi, I'm flying into Santiago on 23rd May and wanted to catch a bus across to Ferrol on the same day, ready to start walking on the 24th.
I've searched RometoRio, Flixbus, Alsa and Monbus and they all say 'no buses', or words to that effect
I wondered if it's because summer schedules haven't been released yet (or it could be user-error )
Any advice or recent experience with the journey would be appreciated.

Thanks, don't suppose you know when they release them?

Monbus are only showing up to the end of this month. That's not unusual for them. As it is a local service with multiple runs per day it is not normally necessary to book far in advance.

OK, thanks for that. I'll curb my enthusiasm for a while . Just looking to make sure there would be a service running really

We caught a train from Santiago de Compostela to Ferrol in July 2022. The train schedules usually come out 2-3 months before the date you want to travel and there are a number of trains running every day.
Buen Camino.

I echo @Bradypus's comments, it's not generally necessary to book far in advance to Ferrol. For my April camino last year I literally booked my ticket three days before and there was still a handful of empty seats upon departure.
A friend of mine literally just turned up to the bus station in July and got a seat without any issues.
So maybe book a week or two out for piece of mind. I loved the Inglès, it's a lovely short Camino.

I took the bus, no problem. Timetables not up yet.

Taking the bus from Santiago to Ferrol from Santiago's main bus station (close to centre) generally does not require booking. There are several each day. You can just check the timetable (Monbus) a few days before your trip (and book if you like).

Doing exactly the same dates.Over night in SDC catching 9am ish bus and then start walking.
