You: American guy recently retired from research somewhere in Berkeley, CA.
Me: American gal walking with a ukulele.
We met on a rainy night around the 12th of October. It was pouring outside.... The only food was desert in a local bar.
We talked about holding 2 conflicting ideas about walking with other pilgrims with compassion for both.
We talked a little about Buddhism... You had a profound effect on the rest of my walk....
