OBSOLETE COVID THREAD Spain Vaccine Pass Requirements

OBSOLETE COVID THREAD

Time of past OR future Camino
April 2022
All,
I arrived in Paris yesterday. France has lifted vaccine passport requirements. I plan to take the train to Lourdes later this week and then from there take the train to SJPP. I will be starting my Camino from SJPP on April 26.
Will I encounter any issues walking across the border to Spain or later? Should I get a vaccine passport?
Thank you,
Sanjeev

Asked and answered numerous times, but here’s the answer again: as of April 17, 2022, there are no checkpoints or forms required for people walking from France to Spain.
Thank you VacaJoe, the updated info is so appreciated especially since mandates keep changing and those of us who cannot get the shot are anxiously awaiting clearance to leave on our first Camino journey. Simply can't wait to join all you who have gone before us on this journey... Buen Camino!

You are aware, of course, that Spain does not permit entry to unvaccinated persons from the USA. The absence of formal control does not make the action lawful
