Train from around Moissac to Biarritz

We are starting our Camino from where we finished in 2010, Figeac. In the time that we have we'll probably finish around Moissac. Does anyone know if there's a train from this area to Biarritz or Bayonne from where we will fly to Dublin. We may walk further that Moissac, not sure.

lever,

One route would be train from Moissac to Toulouse-Matabiau then another train to Bayonne. For times and prices see >> http://voyages-sncf.com/.

Bon voyage and Buen Camino,

Margaret Meredith

Check the options for trains to Bayonne as well. If you'll be spending a night in Bayonne/Biarritz or even just 3-4 hours, that might be nice place to leave the train. From either of those train stations it's an easy local bus to the airport. (If you haven't noticed, the airport serves both Biarritz and Bayonne - the two flow into one another without interruption. I really enjoyed my overnight in Bayonne.)

Thank you for your imput. I've been thinking that instead of starting at Figeac we could start at cahors. This way we would probably make it to Aire sur L'adour. Looking on the sites that you have posted its a 3hr trip to Biaritz. Direct I think, but not sure as I cannot read French. Yes, we have done the transfer from Biaritz to Bayonne when we first walked in 2008. Bayonne is well worth a revisit.

lever,

The trip from Aire sur L'Adour to Biarritz is NOT direct. The route is either Aire sur L'Adour > Pau > Dax to Biarritz or Aire sur L'Adour > Mont de Marsan > Morcenx to Biarritz. Both routes take roughly 4 hours.

Good luck and Bon Voyage,

Margaret Meredith

Hi Lever,
There are some great little villages after Figeac mate , i loved the days from there to Cahors.
Any planes from Pau>anywhere then Dublin.
