Traveling at the end of September

Time of past OR future Camino
September 2014 starting in SJPP walking solo :)
Hello everybody !

I will be traveling at the end of September to do the camino for the first time...
I was wondering, is it a good time as far as weather? Will I be needing winter clothes?
Is there anyone doing this route more or less at the same time? I will be traveling alone.. Kind of a soul searching trip.. ( I bet for many people)

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you

T
P.S.. Leaving from SJPP

Hi T-

Congrats on making the leap! My best advice would be to use the searchbar up there ^^ and browse through the endless amount of info on this site- all your questions will be answered! I have only walked in October and would imagine in September that you definitely don't need any heavy winter clothing- but definitely some long sleeves and a jacket for those chilly days! You have picked a great time to walk, I'm sure you will have many soul-touching moments

Buen Camino!

I do the Camino Frances "in parts" ;-) Pamplona- Logrono the last week in September last year and the weather was awesome, about 25-30.

When I walked the Camino Portugues, September-October 2010, the weather was warm and nice, with a little bit of rain now and then.

I do not think that you'll need winter clothes. But a warm fleece (and rain coat ;-) is good to have. It can be a bit cold during the evenings and some early mornings.

Bon camino!
