Michelle

New Member
Hello,
I am looking into walking a short portion of The Camino with my daughter and wondered if anyone has done this. I have walked The Camino twice but would like to try it with my 6 year old.
I appreciate any and all info and ideas.
peace,
Michelle

Hi Michelle,

Great to hear that you're planning to walk with your 6 year old. Walking with your family (including youngsters) should be encouraged.

My wife and I walked with our 18 month old daughter and we had a wonderful time. On the way we met a Swedish couple in Palas di Rei walking with their two daughters (I think they were 7 and 5) and a 8 month old baby. They were planning to walk about 10km a day and each of the girls carried their own small back pack. I heard later that they arrived in Santiago.

And if things turn to custard you can always take the bus for some stages.

The best of luck to both of you.

Cheers
