Time of past OR future Camino
I have plans to walk Camino in few years hopefully. In the meantime I am planning to climb Kilimanjaro and few other tracks in Alps.
Kasia Pilch submitted a new resource:

Buying a lightweight bag like this is a good investment for the Camino. Mine was 11.4 ounces (323 grams), but with a comfort rating of 40 degrees, not for lower temps like this bag. While walking uphill on the Camino, I never though, "I wish I had bought that cheaper and heavier bag." I had to sleep one night out of doors, and on that chilly night, the bag was priceless.

Which sleeping bag do you have, Pete?

Just bought my wife a YETI Passion One ultralight sleeping bag for Xmas. She is on the Camino starting in early March. Weight is only 320 g and packs down to the size of a small grapefruit. Comfort level +15 C Limit +12 C Extreme -1 C. She absolutely loves it, yes she opened it before Xmas.

Depending on how cold it is at night, depending on chosen route of Camino you can choose different bags with different temperature ratings. What is important for such a long hike is the weight to warmth ratio. The highest loft of goose down, 750 cuin, preferably 850 cuin, light shell, maximum 23g/,2, weight of the shell 180 to 200g, DWR and Rip stop are essential.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

What a wonderful present, lucky lady! I treated myself to one for my 'little jolly' to Jerusalem (as my husband calls it ) and it is such a pleasure to sleep in. I carried it in a small dry bag to make extra sure it didn't get wet too.

I use a Cocoon silk/cotton coupler. 290 grammes. It's benefits are that its rectangular, so lots of room, it's zippered so easy to get in and out of. And easy to wash.
I have just being trying out an 'Alpkit, cloud cover' camping duvet 450 grammes. I have used a KAM popper to fix poppers to the liner and duvet Tested in unheated rooms at 8c and it's brilliant combination. Practical, adaptable and easy to keep clean

Nice present! I'm heading out March 15th from SJPDP so I may cross her path, is she on the forum as well?
